At Mii Amo in Sedona, the walls and the buildings’ exteriors echo the deep crimson of the breathtaking surroundings—towering red rock walls and formations. The 34,000-square-foot spa complex, which reopened in February 2023 after an expansive renovation, is comprised of the main treatment building and six freestanding casitas. With smooth lines and materials like concrete, wood, adobe brick and stucco, the design is contemporary yet organic, with a distinct sense of place. Guests choose between a three, four, seven, or ten-night “journey.” The spa offers everything from traditional massages and facials to energy clearing, hypnosis, sound resonance therapy, and celestial manifesting. In the kitchen of Hummingbird, James Beard finalist chef Seamus Mullin whips up dishes using ingredients from local farms and Mii amo’s garden, like Poulet Rouge (red chicken) with braised trumpet mushrooms and truffled pea purée.
